History
Ecuador is in the northern part of South America. It has 16 million inhabitants in 4 geographic regions (Sierra, Coast, Amazon and Galapagos).
Som.us Ecuador is the leading reinsurance broker in the country. We started operations in 2001 as Cooper Gay Ecuador as part of the Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford Group and at the end of 2016, the Ecuador operation was redefined as part of the Som.us Group, maintaining its local and international operations. We have physical presence in the two (2) main cities of the country: Quito and Guayaquil; and, since 2010 we have been registered with the APS of Bolivia as a foreign reinsurance broker to operate the Bolivian market.
We are part of a multidisciplinary, creative and innovative team that has achieved long-term relationships with the main local and international insurance companies and with the most important reinsurance companies in the world, which has allowed us to consolidate ourselves as leaders in the Ecuadorian market and since 2010 with great success in the Bolivian market.
